That's Okay (Click on the link or picture to play song)

Sweet sounds come from this band. There is a very soft, romantic feeling to the way they play. The song I enjoy is "That's Okay" for its simple yet powerful feeling.

They sing about someone who is made of glass with a black heart. The kind of person that can be extremely sensitive but inconsiderate at the same time--make the joke but cannot take the joke.

They sing that he wants to find home again where he felt safe. The fear in the man of glass consumes his life. He is scared to confront the world, to live. He needs the comfort of a home he once knew, but that home has since aged. It can never be the same as you left it.

The chorus sings about will they still say your name and love you the same, and if not that's okay. The glass man is so insecure that he needs to know people will still love him if he leaves--like he deserves it. They sing that if people do not stick around, it's okay. It doesn't matter. The shallow glass man is a trivial case.

"Until someone loves you, I'll keep you safe, But, like them, I will give you away." She understands that he is broken, and she will be there for him. But he is going to have to find his own foot and stop relying on others for happiness and love.

"You cannot love another until you love yourself."

To be honest, I cannot figure this song out. It seems so meaningful and purposeful that my interpretation would only justify my lack of interpretation.

All I can say for the song is that it reaches a hole deep in the depths of my being. The sounds played slowly and sweetly seem to evaporate and disappear leaving only the fragrance of a long-lost love. A love so strong that the aura can be smelled from a fortnight away.

Although I may be mistaking that scent for the scent of a cold-hearted woman with a heart of ice. I will let you be the judge.

Listen softly to the tune and think for yourself.

I'm A Man Of Constant Sorrow (Click on link or image to play song)

A man of constant sorrow, but he knows where he is headed. He will meet you at God's golden shore.

A true man can see where he is at in life and still be happy. He may be in constant sorrow, but he is at peace in life and in love.

And George Clooney did a great job making the movie and this song.

I do not have long because I just finished a five hour drive onto the nine hour stretch. Enjoy today's song, as I know this one will be in your head all day.

Trust (Click on the picture or link to play the song)

Trust. (Dee, dee, dee.) This is an upbeat song that sings about trust and makes you want to dance. It has such a pop to it that forces even the slightest toe tap/head nod combination.

Starting early, here is one of my all-time favorite lines: “My friend Olivia said to me, what's the use in trusting more than we have to?”

When you hear the line, it will be stuck in your head for ages. You won’t remember where you heard it, or when. It’ll turn into such a distant thought you will think it is a memory of your old friend Olivia. Then as soon as it begins to leave your head, you hear it again.

This song can evoke many different emotions, take from it what you need. Splendid band with splendid tunes, enjoy.

My Friend (Click on link or picture to play song)

Baskerville plays us a song that is slightly unorthodox in its meaning—a song not about relationships and love, not about your remarkable group of friends, and not about emotions.

Its sole meaning is about a friend he has had for a long time. But they do not live near each other. They have both moved on with their lives, and for the first time in a long time they meet again.

He gets very excited to see his friend. Friends can always pick back up where they left off. It is always a joy to see an old friend. It is nice to hear a song about the meaning of a friendship with someone who you never see.

I don’t know; maybe I am posting this because I am going to see an old friend for a week tomorrow. Either way, this is a very simple, catchy song. For everyone who has that friend that you never see, this is for you.

A friend is always a friend in heart.

Don't Worry, Be Happy (Click link or picture to play song)

McFerrin is one of a few people who can produce the most angelic sounds only using his voice. He can produce a double-sound at the same time. One of his most famous songs is "Don't Worry, Be Happy."

Even the video proves this message using Robin Williams, a comic genius. We all know the song, but it is surprising that such a simple, catchy song can come from such a complex singer and mind. Nevertheless, we can see how it works as one of the most popular and well-known songs. Obviously he knew what he was doing.

It is a song that inspires happiness by teaching that you should look on the bright side. It will pass soon. Just be happy. The worst things that can happen cannot take your happiness. You still half life here, and for that we are thankful. This song allows us to change our perspective and see things from a positive stand point.

Let's listen to McFerrin when he teaches us not to worry. Let's all just be happy today.

One Love (Click link or picture to play song)

A man that changed the world--Bob Marley. He had many hits, and many fans, but one of his greatest songs was "One Love." A song about coming together as one people and enjoying each others company.

He fought for love and for peace. a lot can be taken from his songs because they were brought up from a deep place in his soul. A soul that seemed to be one with peace and one with the world. Sit down with your eyes closed and simply listen to the song. Listen to the lyrics flow majestically from him.

There are people who know how music is to be played, Bob Marley was one of them. Enjoy a quiet song longing for union between people. Love each other endlessly. We are all family.

Wagon Wheel (Click on link or video to play song)

"Wagon Wheel" is a song about home. For these guys, home is in the beautiful North Carolina. They have traveled far and wide, but nothing settles their hearts like home.

"Rock me mama like a wagon wheel" is a soothing effect. "Mama" is home--North Carolina. "Rock me like a wagon wheel" interprets the soothing effect of riding in a car, the calming, warm sensation.

I love how "Mama" means home, the place he loves and was raised by mama. It adds such a beautiful strength to the song. Nothing will quiet your spirit as much as coming home.

"Rock me mama anyway you feel."

Five Seconds (Click on link or photo to play video or song)

A new band with the sound of the 1980s sings a song about love—or a version of love. What an incredible song.

My favorite line is when they shout the words “There’s no way to forget it all.” The voice of that line being sung is powerful. I just feel the meaning behind it, that he knows exactly what he feels when he sings that line.

And the chorus, “Five seconds in your heart, straight to the heart, I can't get to your heart.” She wants badly to get through to him, for him to open up. He doesn’t want to let that happen, to open himself and then be left empty and incomplete when it is over. But nonetheless it feels like she made it to his heart.

Love trumps strength and willpower. Love trumps the efforts of the wicked. Love trumps…

Half-Way Loving (Click on the link to play)

“Half-Way Loving” was written about women who have more than one…piece of candy.

It is about women who do not understand men—selfish women who think only of themselves. They believe that they deserve to be pampered and will not do any pampering back.

Love is a series of give and take. Lose the selfish attitude and give something of yourself to the other person. Do something out of your way, mind, or pocket to show them that you did this thinking solely of their benefit, because you benefited not. That is your give.

In turn, the woman will want to treat you to something nice that benefits her not—that shall be the take. Each time try to one up what the other has done and go higher and higher into an exponential growth of heavenly love and bliss.

Don’t be a half-way lover—or you’ll only go half-way into love.
